School opening postponement, provisional accreditation

After a thorough review by the Chesterton Schools Network, Chesterton Academy of Blessed Carlo Acutis has received provisional accreditation, which paves the way for it to become an active school in the network.

The school's official launch has been postponed to the 2026–27 school year to ensure a stronger foundation for students. This delay will allow the school to focus on faculty training, fundraising, and developing extracurricular programs.

The school also welcomes Tim Schmeckpeper, AFSC, to its board of directors, who brings over 43 years of educational experience.
